Humans
They live in Avatonus and tend to keep to themselves. When something new and unfamiliar threatens them, they will likely retaliate with ignorance and violence. Though there are some that remain passive, but most can be considered aggressive.

Avatons

  • Diavex - Human appearance with feathered wings.
  • Serrac - Human appearance with bat-like wings.
  • Over a thousand years ago, when Lunatus was a complete kingdom, avatons were the guardians of the land and its people. Before the division of Lunatus, the avatons were in a war of their own, resulting in their division. There are two kinds of avatons; 'Guardians of the Day' (Diavex) and 'Guardians of the Night' (Serrac). After the War of Sadness (the war among the avatons), the Diavex were said to be completely wiped out.

    Darratans Human/Cat (big cats)
They appear to be a mix between humans and cats (i.e., lions, tigers, leopards, etc...) This race is well known for its cleverness and wit. These strong and agile beings are well respected among their homeland of Davaradale, but feared by the people of Avatonus.

    Kryratans Human/Wolf
They appear to be a mix between humans and wolves. This race is well known for its unbelievable strength and ruthlessness. Once residents of Davaradale, they lived by themselves along the kingdoms borders. After the Great War, it was feared that they would one day turn against the people of Davaradale, this lead to the hunt and execution of many kryratans. In the end, they fled Davaradale and headed into Avatonus and Zephaniah, where many were killed or imprisoned. But through all of this, several small groups managed to build their own villages and planned to live on unnoticed.

    Centaurs Human/Horse
They are excellent weoponsmiths and very good marksmen. When it comes to battle, they are a race that will lead any army. Loyal and proud, they will never betray anyone. However, there are always one or two bad apples in every bunch.

    Elves Human-like
There are two major tribes of elves.

  • The Tribes of Light -- These elves typically have light hair, a medium build, and blue or green eyes (usually light colored eyes). They love nature and are mostly found in the forests of Davaradale.
  • The Tribes of Dark -- These elves have dark hair, a medium build, and dark, unnatural eyes. They are extreme perfectionists and love to have complete control in ever situation. They live mainly in the heart of Davaradale.
  • Dragons
Gold, silver, white, black, and other assortments from the color spectrum, they are the most diverse species on Taijera. Some dragons can take human form, while others are restricted to their scales. The talent of taken human form has proven useful in their survival. Begin able to blend in, their presence has gone unnoticed to those who want to cause harm. Once every ten years, during the summer months, the dragons gather in the southern part of Rubideria. The reason for this gathering is unknown.

    Ducokata (du'so-ka'ta) [Shapeshifters/Shifters] -- (Human appearance)
They can take the form of anything that is organic, or blend in with their surroundings. They have two ways of shifting; free-form and fixed-form. Fixed-form is where the Shifter memorizes the form he/she wants to become. Free-form doesn't require memorizing the form, and the shift is more strenuous on him/her. Shifters can be found in every kingdom of Lunatus. However, their main clans and villages reside in Avatonus.

    Ipotanes Human/Horse or Zebra
The equine version of a satyr. They live in Davaradale and are a peaceful species.

    Krakuma Human/Octopus or Squid
They tend to live in the deepest parts of the ocean and like to keep to themselves. Rarely do they ever venture to the surface or walk on land in their human form (they have the same restrictions as the mermen). Back before the separation of Lunatus, they lived side by side with the mermen of Rubideria.

    Mermen / Mermaydes Human/Fish
A peacefully race, however strict in what they believe to be right or wrong. On land, they can shed their tail for a more human appearance. But after three-to-four days on land, their bodies grow weak, and if they don’t reach water soon, death becomes a great possibility. When on land, they have incredible strength, but can grow weak very fast.

Saotai Unicorns, Winged Horses, and other equine variations
Unlike typical horses, Saotai are capable of interactions with other species, and even take on a human facade.

    Satyrs Human/Goat
They live in small clans and villages in Avatonus. They are also an unsociable species and try to better themselves by any means possible.

Gryphons Eagle (or any large raptor)/Lion (or any large cat)
These magnificent creatures live in the Great Mts. of Avatonus. Like the dragons, they tend to stay to themselves. Several gryphons sightings have been rumored across northern Avatonus. But these creatures hold their greatest power in the many children’s stories and legends.

    Rukajj (ru-käzh) Human-like
These elusive creatures rarely visit land. They appear to be more cat-like rather than aquatic. In the air-filled tunnels and buildings under the water, they can live their lives as though they were on land. But when they take to the water, they use their "water wings" to propel them at unbelievable speeds. Their "wings" appear more like that of Manta Ray. They also have long whip-like tails.

    • Beasts of Burden •

    Tierrenns
Massive creatures that resemble a cross between giant, scaly bulls with ram horns and pterodactyl wings. They are mainly used for the Emperor’s armies in Zephaniah, but can be used by members of the wealthy class.

    Jhenors
These creatures resemble modern horses, yet carry many of the prehistoric traits that were once lost to the breed. They are quite larger than their cousins, and are best suited for hard labor and distance travel, especial in Southern and Central Zephaniah.

    Valkiba
Known on Earth as woolly mammoths, as well as mastodons, various breeds of valkiba are commonly used in the Great Mountains of Avatonus.
